Celebrating ten years in 2026, Friday Night Sound Waves continues a simple belief: good music brings people together. Our anniversary season honors the artists and moments that have shaped the series since day one.
Private Stock brings a big-band presence and an unmistakable sense of occasion to the Sound Waves stage. Known for their dynamic lineup, Private Stock delivers high-energy performances built entirely on live music, seamless transitions, and constant engagement with the crowd. No tracks. No breaks in momentum. Just a full, immersive experience that keeps everyone moving.
With a repertoire that spans seven decades—from Motown, disco, and classic rock to Top 40, Latin, swing, standards, and modern favorites—Private Stock has a rare ability to meet the moment and elevate it. Their wireless, interactive approach allows musicians to move freely through the audience, turning concerts into shared celebrations rather than stand-and-watch performances.
Private Stock’s Sound Waves history is tied to some of the series’ most meaningful milestones.

In 2020, Private Stock took the stage during our Super Bowl LIV-sanctioned Raised in the 954 weekend, an epic night that also honored St. Thomas Aquinas High School’s Raiders following their national championship win. The energy, pride, and sense of community made it unforgettable.
Then, in 2023, after three years at The LOOP, we returned to the Hub on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend when city preparations shifted us back to where it all began. That night felt like a reunion and a homecoming—familiar ground, familiar faces, and a reminder of how far the series had come.
This evening also marks a special celebration in the Sound Waves story: the 80th birthday of Ina Lee, founder of TravelHost Media and one of the series’ earliest champions. Known throughout Fort Lauderdale as “the Queen of Fort Lauderdale,” Ina’s support helped shape the foundation of Sound Waves, and it feels fitting to celebrate her on a night built around legacy, community, and music that brings people together.
