Multidisciplinary performance artist, and current Artist in Residence at Bailey Contemporary Arts Center, Terrence ‘T.M.’ Pride, presents a spectacular dance performance bringing a rich mixture of Caribbean cultures to life.

Drawing from Jamaican, Haitian, and Trinidadian backgrounds, this performance celebrates Caribbean heritage with highlights including soca, carnival, and more.
Featuring talented professional and pre-professional dancers, the performance promises to mesmerize the community with an unforgettable display of vibrant dance and cultural expression.

About Definitive Arts

Definitive Arts is a program curated by T.M. Pride, designed for secondary education students from grades (K-12th). The program is encompassed of various workshops, each with a very strategically orchestrated curriculum to reach the maximum level of achievement of the students enrolled. Workshops in dance, theatre, and voice make up the core of the Arts intensive, next there are the Arts Integrations classes equipped with lessons for the classroom teacher. Teaching is an artist’s way of giving back to the community and contributing to the ongoing existence of art in the fabric of life throughout the world.

About T.M. Pride

TM Pride is a distinguished multidisciplinary performance artist and educator known for his dynamic contributions to theatre and dance.
A graduate of Florida A&M University in Theatre Performance and Dance, TM Pride has choreographed over 60 pieces, including musicals and dance recitals. He has also directed and performed in acclaimed plays such as Black Nativity, The Wiz, and Blues for an Alabama Sky while showcasing his skills in costume design.

His film credits include roles in Barry Jenkins’ The Underground Railroad, Misha Green’s Lovecraft Country, and First Ladies on Showtime. TM Pride began his career as a professional teaching artist in 2012, directing the Arts program for the 21st Century Fun2Learn camp in Gadsden County, FL. He has held roles such as director of the theatre camp for the Salvation Army Joan KROC in Atlanta, GA, and resident choreographer for Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota, FL.

From 2017 to 2019, TM Pride directed the dance and theatre magnet at Apalachee Tapestry Magnet School of the Arts, producing Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. and Aladdin Jr. He recently returned to the performance stage with Carnival Cruise Line, captivating audiences across Asia and Australia.

Since moving to South Florida, TM Pride has served as the Associate Director for the Seminole Theatre in Homestead, FL, and as a panel member for Miami-Dade Community Grants. He is an active member of the Broward County New Leaders Council, The Young Professional Network of Broward County Urban League, and various organizations promoting the arts in urban communities.

Currently, TM Pride is a master teaching artist at Dillard Center for the Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and has dedicated four years to AileyCamp Miami. He has developed a curriculum focusing on arts-integrated methods for S.T.E.M subjects and aims to publish his first workbook of A.I. lessons for primary-level educators this year.
