Get ready for a spooktacular evening under the stars at The LOOP’s Halloween edition of Movies by Moonlight!

Locals and visitors are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and their favorite movie buddies to enjoy a festive film on the main lawn at Las Olas Oceanside Park. Starting at 5 p.m., shop The MKT for treats, dine at one of Fort Lauderdale Beach’s local restaurants, or pack a picnic to complete your outdoor movie experience. Little ghouls and goblins can also join in the fun with trick-or-treating before the movie starts. Limited chairs will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive early for a frightfully good time!

  • Featured Film: Beetlejuice, rated PG-13
  • Synopsis: After Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes (Catherine O’Hara, Jeffrey Jones) and teen daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a rambunctious spirit whose “help” quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia.

    • 6:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.: Photo opportunities with Beetlejuice and Lydia
    • 8:00 p.m.: Movie begins (114-minute run time)

PLEASE BE ADVISED:

  • You are welcome to bring picnics, lawn chairs, and blankets. Alcohol is strictly prohibited.
  • All minors (under the age of 16) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There are no exceptions.
  • All Pets MUST be leashed and remain with their human at all times. Please bring pet waste bags.
  • Attendees are requested to refrain from smoking within the viewing area.
  • We ask you to please be respectful of your neighbors’ movie-watching experience.
    If you are there to socialize and not watch the movie, please do so outside the viewing area.
