Live Music

Celebrating ten years in 2026, Friday Night Sound Waves began with a simple idea: bring great live music to a public space and see what happens.

What happened was connection.

Presented by the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Beach Business Improvement District, the series has welcomed locals and visitors, longtime residents and first-timers, to gather just steps from the sand for nights shaped by rhythm, community, and shared experience. Over the years, nearly 130 bands and more than 700 musicians have taken the stage, creating moments that linger long after the last note fades.

Friday Night Sound Waves has never been about genre or trends. It’s been about good music — in all its forms — and the way it brings people together under the stars.

Guests are invited to arrive early, settle in, and make a night of it. Pre-concert lawn games, local artisan vendors, and rotating food and drink offerings create space to connect before, during, and after each performance. Whether you come to dance, listen, or simply be part of the moment, every Friday is an open invitation.
